Açaí bowl

Do you also replace your warm oatmeal porridge for a fresher and fruitier breakfast with the first rays of the spring sun? Then you should really try this healthy açaí bowl! The açaí berry is a dark blue/purple fruit that grows on the açaí palm in the Amazon region (Brazil, Suriname and Peru). The taste is somewhat like blueberries and chocolate, which is super delicious in a smoothie bowl. In addition, the fruit also contains a lot of vitamins and minerals! You can buy açaí frozen in, for example, a Brazilian supermarket or online.

Ingredients (for 2 persons)

  • 2 frozen bananas

  • 200 grams of frozen açaí

  • 300 ml oat or almond milk

  • 3 Medjool dates

  • Toppings of your choice

  • Add a scoop of Protein for extra protein intake

Preparation

Put all ingredients except the toppings in a strong blender until a creamy mass is formed. Is it still too thick? Add some extra milk. Pour into two bowls and top with toppings as desired. You can think of slices of fruit, coconut chips, seeds such as hemp or chia seeds and nuts. Muesli or homemade granola can also be delicious as a topping!
